Bio

Laura Chiu is a member of DarrowEverett’s Business Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where she represents clients in a wide range of commercial disputes. She manages matters from inception through trial, developing strategic case plans, drafting and arguing motions, conducting discovery, and preparing witnesses. In addition to her courtroom work, Laura advises clients on risk mitigation, compliance considerations, and pre‑suit resolution strategies designed to avoid unnecessary litigation and protect long‑term business interests.

Prior Experience

Before joining DarrowEverett, Laura was an assistant state attorney with the State Attorney’s Office of the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida. During her time there, she prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanor, felony, and specialty unit (animal cruelty) crimes, and conducted numerous jury trials. As a law school student, Laura interned with the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She also served as a Certified Legal Intern with the State Attorney’s Office of the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
