Lorenzo’s practice focuses on domestic and international transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings, corporate structuring, contracts, and real estate transactions. His clients include local, national and multinational businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, software developers, manufacturers, family offices, real estate developers, franchise businesses and high-net worth individuals. For many of these clients, Lorenzo also serves as outside general counsel.
Lorenzo offers advice that is tailored, practical and responsive. He is committed to working closely with his clients in order to help them achieve their goals while protecting their interests.
Prior Experience
Early in his career, Lorenzo practiced at two of the nation’s largest firms. He then went on to serve as Associate General Counsel of The Related Group, one of the nation’s largest real estate developers, where he was charged with legal oversight of the company’s luxury hotel and condominium projects in Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and the Bahamas.
Following his time at Related, Lorenzo served as Associate Counsel of Western Union, one of the world’s leading providers of global payment services. Stationed in Madrid, Spain, he held primary legal responsibility for the Fortune 500’s operations in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus, as well as many aspects of its online business throughout Europe.

Representative Matters
- Representation of international food conglomerate, handling all contract work with foreign and domestic customers, partners and suppliers, corporate structuring, governance and general HR matters, financings and real estate acquisitions.
- Representation of multistate cannabis operator, including in its acquisition of various entities and licenses, joint ventures, financings and the fee or lease acquisition of processing and retail facilities throughout California and Massachusetts.
- Counsel to borrower and title agent in connection with a $32 million credit facility for the construction and permanent financing of owner-occupied commercial facility in Pasco County, Florida, cross-collateralized with real estate in Miami-Dade County .
- Lead counsel to partner of buyer (sovereign wealth fund and family office JV) in the acquisition of portfolio of nearly 200 separate agricultural parcels across North Carolina and Florida for $45 million, including the financing.
- Lead counsel to buyer (sovereign wealth fund and family office JV) in the acquisition of 36,000 acres of agricultural land in central Florida for $136 million, including the financing and CFIUS review.
