Bio

Paul M. Quin focuses his practice on entertainment law, personal injury defense, environmental law, general tort matters, complex business litigation, and general commercial business law. He also has extensive experience representing insurance companies in litigation involving general commercial liability, premises liability, and products liability claims.

In addition to his legal career, Paul has spent many years as a professional drummer and remains active in the music industry. He represents musicians across a range of civil and legal matters, blending his industry knowledge with his legal acumen.

Prior Experience

Before joining DarrowEverett, Paul practiced environmental litigation, product liability, general commercial litigation, entertainment law, Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) litigation and railroad law, and previously served as a member of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.

Representative Matters

Representative Matters

  • Represented several entities in defending against negligent security claims including a property management company in a multimillion dollar claim following the shooting of a pizza delivery driver.
  • Represented several housing authorities in claims related to gang shootings.
  • Represented large housing authority as plaintiff in a multimillion dollar construction dispute against the general contractor and multiple subcontractors, leading to settlement on eve of trial.
  • Represented a national bakery in a case regarding breach of contract and improper use of proprietary information by a competitor.
  • Represented multiple prominent recording and touring artists in negotiating recording agreements, securing endorsement partnerships, and offering music industry guidance. Clients have included musicians who have recorded or performed with The Rolling Stones, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Andrea Bocelli.
  • Represented a Fortune 100 company in an environmental contamination lawsuit under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), obtaining a winning result on summary judgment.
  • Represented Union Pacific Railroad in a Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) claim for wrongful death following a train collision in Wichita, Kansas.
