Overview
Daniel P. Meyer is Senior Counsel in DarrowEverett’s Commercial Real Estate and Corporate & Business Transactions Practice Groups. Dan’s practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, equity and debt financings, and the acquisition, development, leasing, management, and disposition of complex commercial real estate assets. Mr. Meyer also has extensive experience advising real estate private equity clients with respect to fund inception and capitalization, acquisition, leasing and disposition of portfolio assets, and regulatory and securities compliance needs. In addition, Dan represents clients in various industries, including renewable energy, commercial real estate, manufacturing, hospitality, health care, commercial lending and structured finance, technology and software, and retail and service sectors.
Representative Matters
- Assisted privately owned real estate development company in connection with its acquisition, development, entitlement and leasing of a new shopping center in Massachusetts. Our work included negotiating and drafting multiple ground leases with national retail tenants and permitting and entitlements relating to same.
- Assisted real estate investor in connection with disposition of two mid-Atlantic convenience stores, and subsequent completion of 1031 like-kind exchange into acquisition of gas station utilizing tenancy in common acquisition structure.
- Assisted CME Credit Union on its recent acquisition and permitting of a new retail bank branch with drive-thru in Cranston, RI.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining the DarrowEverett team, Dan worked as an associate attorney for three highly regarded Providence based firms where he was a member of their commercial real estate, corporate, and private equity practice groups.
