Vishal S. Petigara is a member of DarrowEverett’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Tax Practice Groups. With nearly 20 years of experience as a corporate and tax attorney, he provides comprehensive strategic advice and legal services to clients across various industries, including finance, hospitality, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and technology.
Vishal delivers innovative and effective solutions, including strategic planning for complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, transactional tax planning, and tax and estate planning for principals (including asset protection planning, offshoring and onshoring, and preparation of legacy trusts and charitable planning).
He has successfully advised and represented clients in mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, investments, financings, and other transactions, both nationally and internationally. Vishal has also assisted clients in resolving tax controversies and navigating the intricacies of federal, state, and international tax laws. As part of his practice, he prepares formal transaction reviews and tax opinions. Additionally, he has extensive experience in working with local governments and public entities in structuring and documenting public finance, private activity bond finance, and corporate finance deals.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining DarrowEverett, Vishal was the managing member of a New York-based corporate and tax firm, and also worked for several regional and national law firms.
